€65,00

Italian fashion designer Gianfranco Ferre, known as the "Architect of Fashion" for his original approach to fashion design, has firmly established his revolutionary status in the industry with his iconic works. He began his fashion journey in 1970, designing accessories and went to India to extensively study textiles and textile design in the following years. In 1974, he founded his company Baila and launched his first collection for women. In 1982, he introduced his first men's collection, followed by other releases such as perfumes, glasses, and a fashion collection. During his career, Gianfranco Ferré received countless recognitions and accolades. This includes the Occhio d’Oro award, which he received six times: Best Italian Designer, the Gold Medal of the City of Milan, the Commendatore del Ordine award from the President of the Italian Republic, and the De d’Or (Golden Thimble Award) for his first haute couture collection in 1989.

In the creation of the Gianfranco Ferré collection, materials played a decisive role - quoting the author himself, "From the material, fashion gains its essence and even its physical and tangible existence. Technological experiments offer unprecedented possibilities for the use of materials, optimize their properties and capabilities, make possible unprecedented blends, combinations, and processing, and 'invent' new ones..."
